Kalpana Tandon
Every year, thousands of international students leave their families and travel across the world with the hope of building a better future. While the journey is filled with opportunity, it also comes with challenges, from adapting to a new country and culture to preparing for a successful career.
For Kalpana Tandon, these challenges were never just observations. During her career in Australia’s aged care sector, she worked closely with international students completing internships and entering the workforce. She saw talented and hardworking individuals struggle, not because they lacked ambition, but because they often needed greater practical preparation, confidence, and support to successfully transition into professional life.
Inspired by these experiences, Kalpana founded Kalash Institute Australia with a clear purpose: to create an institution where education goes beyond qualifications and equips students with the practical skills, industry knowledge, and confidence needed to build successful careers.
Today, she continues to guide KIA with a strong commitment to quality education, student success, and creating opportunities that help learners achieve their personal and professional aspirations.
Director - Administration
Ashwani Tandon
As a founding member of Kalash Institute Australia, Ashwani Tandon played a pivotal role in establishing the institute’s operational framework and student-focused culture. With more than two decades of experience in educational management, he has helped shape KIA into an institution committed to quality education, integrity, and student success.
He believes exceptional education is built not only on quality programs, but also on the experience students have throughout their journey. From their first enquiry to graduation, every interaction should reflect professionalism, care, and genuine support.
As Director – Administration, Ashwani oversees the systems, services, and operations that support every learner at KIA. His focus is on creating an environment where students feel welcomed, respected, and supported, while ensuring the institute upholds the highest standards of governance, quality, and student services.
His vision is to build a learning community where operational excellence and a student-first approach create an exceptional educational experience.
